The bilges on this prototype were, uniquely, at an angle, not rounded like other canal boats.

The Bolinder company was founded in Stockholm by the Bolinder brothers, in 1832.

HTMLText_8F31B2D2_9ABB_2A19_41C8_01D487433B7C.html = 31M was one of the canal boats loaned out as community FAS projects. She was given to the Clondalkin Community College for restoration. The work included the complete replacement of the bottom of the boat including the bilges, and the decks were cut back to around eight inches from the original 24". The project came to an end before any conversion work took place.
